Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MateBook X Pro's 1MP web camera is hidden underneath a pop-up button located between the F6 and F7 function keys. It's a shame more manufacturers don't adopt the 2:3 aspect ratio. For most of my needs, I found the Matebook X Pro also offered a fast enough experience.
Pros
- Beautiful 2:3 display
- Comfortable keyboard
- Good battery life
Cons
- No SD card slot
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)Huawei’s hardware of choice for the 2020 model are an Intel Comet Lake CPU paired with an Nvidia GeForce GPU. The Core i7-10510U is an old friend at this point, and more details on this processor can be found in our technology section. The main issue with the MateBook X Pro is its low TDP threshold of just 15 W for sustained load.
Pros
- High-quality aluminum case
- Good battery life
- Decent performance
Cons
- Mediocre display
- No Thunderbolt 3

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MateBook X Pro comes in a few varieties. A €1,499 configuration will net you a Core i5-10210U with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. It comes with two USB Type-C ports that can also charge the laptop, as well as a standard USB 3.0 Type-A port.
Pros
- Solid performance for the price
- Solid battery life
- USB Type-C and Type-A ports
Cons
- No headphone jack
- No webcam
t3[4]
Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huawei MateBook X Pro is one of the best-looking laptops on the market. The keyboard and trackpad are excellent, and the trackpad is responsive. Battery life and performance isn't outstanding, but it's above where you might expect a laptop of this size and weight to be. The only thing that might put most people off is the rather high price – starting at around £1,400.
Pros
- Excellent build quality
- Excellent trackpad
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Screen isn't 4K
- Screen isn’t 4K
techadvisor[5]
Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)There are three SKU options, with only the top two available in the UK. You can order the laptop right now from Huawei, or grab either model from Amazon. The prices are roughly in line with last year's, which began from £1,199. The MateBook X Pro comes with full Windows 10 Home support, so there's no need to worry about missing access to any important services.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Good battery life
- Decent performance
Cons
- No dedicated GPU
techradar[6]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huawei MateBook X Pro (2020) is a refined update of the company's flagship laptop. The screen is a 13.9-inch touchscreen with a 3000 x 2000 resolution. The upgrade from 8th-gen Intel processors to 10th-generation is a welcome one. The keyboard is roomy and responsive, and takes more than its fair share of design cues from the keyboards found on MacBooks.
Pros
- Bright and vibrant screen
- Excellent battery life
- Decent performance
Cons
- Mediocre webcam
- No Thunderbolt 3
tomsguide[7]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MateBook X Pro 2020 isn't massively different than its predecessors, but it's got a welcome batch of changes to a great laptop. With 56Wh of capacity, Huawei estimates its laptop will last between 11 and 15 hours on a single charge. The large, squarer display gives you lots of room to work with as you write or edit, and might be just the thing you're looking for if you want something that's got the dimensions of a 13-inch laptop.
Pros
- Large, square display
- Good value for money
- Good battery life
Cons
- Touchpad is hot to touch
trustedreviews[8]
Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)There’s an update to the CPU, new graphics plus a bump to Thunderbolt 3 in the USB-C ports. Huawei claims you’ll get ‘14 hours of office use’ on a single charge of the 57.4Wh battery. The 13.9-inch touchscreen panel, with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a high 3000 x 2000 resolution.
Pros
- Fantastic display
- Great battery life
Cons
- No headphone jack
- No fingerprint scanner
