External Reviews

androidauthority[1]

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from androidauthority have found:
The Huawei Watch Fit pairs to your Android phone or iPhone via BT5.0/Bluetooth LE and has 4GB of storage. Sadly, you won't have the opportunity to listen to music stored on the watch with Bluetooth earbuds paired to it like with Huawei's GT 2 series of watches. There's also a menstrual cycle calendar you can add to your Huawei Health dashboard by tapping Edit at the bottom of the main dashboard screen.
Pros
  • Excellent SpO2 tracking
  • Good battery life
  • Good fitness tracking
Cons
  • No NFC
  • No speaker for taking calls

ndtv[2]

Reviewer score 56% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from ndtv have found:
The Huawei Watch Fit has a 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 280x456 pixels. It can track an impressive 96 different types of workouts, including common ones such as indoor and outdoor walking and running, cycling, swimming, rowing, and elliptical. There are also plenty of niche options including various dance forms, yoga, pilates, strength training, various martial arts, and popular sports such as tennis, cricket, football, and more. Smartwatch functionality proved to be more reliable, and I had no trouble with push notifications from apps, caller identification, or music controls.
Pros
  • Attractive design
  • Good battery life
  • Good fitness tracking
Cons
  • Mediocre sleep tracking
  • Short battery life

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 58% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Both have a light sensor for automatic brightness regulation and a sensor for measuring heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. Despite 4 GB internal memory, they cannot store music. Both fitness trackers measure steps, distance and calorie consumption during the day, and they monitor sleep when worn at night.
Pros
  • Accurate heart rate and blood oxygen saturation measurements
  • Long battery life
  • Accurate GPS
Cons
  • No NFC, loudspeaker or microphone
  • Mediocre battery life

t3[4]

Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
Huawei Watch Fit is an exceptional smartwatch that can be picked up online for less than £100. With 96 workout modes, there are tracking options for just about any workout. It provides accurate tracking, displaying vitals in real-time, presented in a well laid-out manner on-screen. There are no third party bands available for the Watch Fit online, despite it having detachable straps.
Pros
  • Fantastic battery life
  • Excellent fitness modes
Cons
  • No third party bands
  • Not as intuitive as pricier watches

Pros
  • Accurate sleep tracking
  • Accurate heart rate tracking
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No virtual personal trainer
  • Fiddly magnetic charger

techradar[6]

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Watch Fit has 90+ workout modes and can track anything from conventional forms of exercise like walking, running, cycling and swimming to belly dancing, dart throwing, martial arts and more. It's not the most accurate heart rate sensor on a fitness watch, showing slightly higher heart rates compared to a Polar chest strap monitor, but you'll get a general picture of where your heart rate is during workouts. The Watch Fit uses a propriety two-pin magnetic charging cradle that charges its 180 mAh battery in an hour and a half.
Pros
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent fitness and health tracking
  • Accurate SpO2
Cons
  • Not the most accurate heart rate sensor
  • No social features

trustedreviews[7]

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Huawei Watch Fit on paper can track over 90 workouts. These include everything from running and cycling to boxing, sports skiing and roller skating. The guided courses are similar to the guided workouts function you get on more expensive Garmin Vivo, Forerunner and Fenix watches. But the Watch Fit has one crucial trick up its sleeve that helps boost its allure to complete newbies.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Good battery life
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Lack of advanced features
  • No altitude meter
