MSI MAG B550 Torpedo is a mid-level gaming motherboard for AMD's 3rd-gen Ryzen processors or Ryzen 4000 G-series processors. Sharing the same military theme as other motherboards in the MAG family, the MAG B550 supports up to two x16 graphics card in a 2-way AMD CrossFire setup.
The 10 Dual Rail Power System with smart power stages and the stunning extended heatsink allow the MAG B550 TORPEDO to stably supply the power needs for multi-core processors. It supports up to AMD Ryzen™ 9 3950X 16 cores processors.
The MAG B550 TORPEDO also has the M.2 SHIELD FROZR that maintains the temperature of the PCI-E Gen 4 SSDs that it also supports. Support of the PCI-E Gen 4 graphics card is the next highlight of this motherboard.
Lastly, both front and rear Type-C connectors are ready for the latest USB Type-C devices. 2.5G LAN with LAN manager provides gamers incredibly fast data transfer speeds and low latency connection to the internet.

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)The MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk is a solid value at $179.99. It's not quite as feature-rich as a deluxe motherboard, and it wasn't able to handle my Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM kit at its speed. Its 2.5G connection is excellent for a midrange board, as are the two high-speed USB ports.

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac), along with grey stenciled lines sweeping diagonally through the motherboard. The board's black and-and-grey theme will easily blend in to most builds. RGB lighting is housed under the chipset heatsink, illuminating the bottom half of the board with bright saturated colors. The B550 Tomahawk supports 2-Way Crossfire; SLI users need not apply.
