External Reviews

androidauthority[1]

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from androidauthority have found:
Bose's Sport Earbuds emphasize bass and upper-midrange notes, but not to an egregious degree. Bass is only slightly louder than mids, which makes it easier to catch kickdrums without losing too much musical detail. Lower frequencies fall victim to the proximity effect, which can mean that deeper voices sound a bit off.
Pros
  • Comfortable fit
  • Sleek design
  • Active EQ
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • No wireless charging

laptopmag[2]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
, which electronically tunes the frequency curve to come as close to the 700's curve as possible. The result is warm, relatively balanced audio with rich bass and a generous soundscape. Despite not having all the bells and whistles of its cousin, the Bose Sport Earbuds only have an estimated battery life of 5 hours. If you want the total package, consider the $148 Sony WF-SP800N earbuds.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Comfortable fit
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No noise cancelling
  • No wireless charging

pcmag[3]

Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Bose's Sport Earbuds deliver a solid low-frequency push that doesn't distort at top volumes. The drivers deliver rich, powerful bass response matched with bright highs. The app for Android and iOS is a one-size-fits-all app for several Bose audio products. Anker's Soundcore Spirit X2 earphones deliver solid performance for just $80.
Pros
  • Solid audio performance
  • Comfortable fit
  • Solid battery life
Cons
  • Lack of exercise-focused features
  • No adjustable EQ

rtings[4]

Reviewer score 21% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Bose Sport Earbuds are decent for neutral sound. Vocals and lead instruments sound present and clear. However, sibilants are a bit weak and mixes lack a thumpy low-bass. With 4.3-hour continuous battery life, they may not last through long international flights without a recharge.
Pros
  • Well-built and comfortable design
  • Comfortable fit
  • Stable stability fins
  • Good battery life
  • Well-designed and comfortable build
Cons
  • Poor noise isolation
  • Mediocre audio performance
  • No wireless connectivity

t3[5]

Reviewers from t3 have found:
Bose Sport Earbuds come in three different sizes to fit all types of ears. Boasts a completely cable free (true wireless) setup with IPX4 sweat and wet weather resistance. Bose's new StayHear Max tips have been designed with nothing but comfort in mind.
Pros
  • Premium design
  • Great sound quality
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • No noise cancellation
  • No noise cancelling

tomsguide[6]

Reviewer score 56% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Bose Sport Earbuds are a step forward, but still require more improvement. Bose certainly fixed some of the problems of the SoundSport Free, such as the heavy, unstable design, inadequate noise isolation, and poor connectivity. Sound remains solid with Bose's warm signature feeding your ears rich bass.
Pros
  • Solid wireless performance
  • Solid battery life
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Poor noise isolation
  • No wireless charging

whathifi[7]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
Bose Sport Earbuds are a good pair of wireless earbuds. Sound is powerful but not quite as special as the best at this level. Can't be connected to two sources simultaneously, such as a laptop for listening to music and a phone for making or taking the occasional call. You can also assign the touch surface on the right bud as a volume control.
Pros
  • Dynamically balanced sound
  • Good call quality
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No wireless charging
  • Can’t be connected to two devices simultaneously
