ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 is a high-end ultra-thin laptop with sleek design, long battery life, and class-leading connectivity. Powered by 10th-gen Intel Core Ice Lake processors, the UX425 boasts a range of the latest tech features such as Thunderbolt 3, WiFi 6, and ASUS's NumberPad 2.0 in a chassis barely over half an inch thin.
The ZenBook 14 UX425 features compact four-sided NanoEdge display that offers 90% screen-to-body ratio. Its new ErgoLift hinge mechanisms, IR cameras for fast face-recognition, and an optional 1-watt display are all improvements over its predecessor, while the new NumberPad 2.0 makes the touchpad of the device even more versatile.
Indeed, the ZenBook 14 UX425 is the thinnest in its class to offer uncompromised I/O capabilities, including full-size HDMI. Via its dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, the UX425 can drive up to two 4K UHD external displays for an expanded visual workspace, and up to 40 Gbps data speeds for ultrafast file transfers.
Another model that shares much of the same feature set is the 13-inch ZenBook 13 UX325: Both are designed for effortless portability and a compact and elegant all-metal chassis. Their stylish design is enhanced by two new timeless color options. Pine Grey is a glossy shade that professionally stands out and features a special off-center version of the iconic ZenBook spun-metal finish. Lilac Mist embodies a subtle touch of high-end luxury with its elegant and modern matte shade.
Just months after its initial release, ASUS upgraded the UX425 with 11th-gen Intel Core Tiger Lake processors.

Reviewer score 71%, but it was fine for just me sitting directly in front of it. The speakers produce surprisingly loud and crisp sound, with nearly no distortion, but the bass is weak. Windows 10 ran perfectly fine, and the ZenBook UX425JA booted quickly enough. Asus has preinstalled McAfee LiveSafe which did pester me with very large pop-up advertisements to purchase a subscription.

Reviewer score 76%Asus remains stubborn regarding adding touch displays to its clamshell laptops. Windows Hello password-less support is provided by an infrared camera and facial recognition. In terms of battery life, the ZenBook 14 is an all-day performer and then some. The one-year warranty is disappointing, but Asus does throw in a year of protection.

Reviewer score 63%The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA has the same 1080p AU Optronics B140HAN06.8 IPS panel as found on the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 but with two major differences. The latter is glossy whereas our Asus is matte meaning texts and images are slightly grainier here. Visual quality is otherwise similar between the two laptops with similar brightness levels, contrast ratios, gamuts, and response times.
