Product Overview
Sony CEA-G series CFexpress Type A memory cards are the first of the type. Exceptionally compact yet built to Sony's TOUGH specifications, these CFexpress Type A cards share similar dimensions with SD cards but are over twice as fast.
They debuted with the Sony A7S III mirrorless camera, which can record 4K video at 120p at high bit rates and achieve over 1000 uncompressed RAW still images at over 10 fps, thanks to the performance of the CFexpress Type A cards.
Sony has also given the new CEA-G series CFexpress Type A memory cards with a heat sink to transfer heat generated by the card to the exterior when transmitting large amounts of data at high speed using Sony's original alloy with excellent thermal conductivity.
Keeping up with Sony’s TOUGH specifications, the new CFexpress Type A memory cards feature bending and impact resistance to protect precious data. They are up to five times more resistant to drop impact and up to ten times more resistant to bending, compared to CFexpress Type A requirement standards, for outstanding durability. They are also IP57 water and dust resistant.

Sony unveiled with the new CFexpress Type A cards a new reader that supports SuperSpeed USB (3.2 Gen 2) transfer speed of up to 10 Gbps.
