Product Overview

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G pairs the lightning-fast speeds of 5G with the company's statement-making Galaxy Z Flip. Now with 5G, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G brings blazing-fast speeds to the palm-sized foldable device, making it easier than ever to stay connected with followers, friends, and family. It is the first device in Samsung’s Galaxy line-up to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Mobile Platform.
Despite the increase in speed of 5G, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G does not increase in size. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes in two new premium colors including Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze, all encased in glass with a haze finish that is soft to the touch while minimizing fingerprints.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Galaxy Z Flip has dual 12-megapixel cameras and a 10- megapixel shooter inside. Samsung's camera sensors take better photos and give you more options than the Razr's. Single Take mode will take up to 10 photos and four videos when you select it and then hold the record button.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Foldable hinge
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • No foldable display
  • No wireless charging

Reviewers from laptopmag have found the following***:
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is running Android 11 with One UI 3.1, the Android skin from Samsung. Flex Mode is the most important of these as it is something a slab phone can't match. You don't run into the growing pains of using a new category, but you still get to enjoy its unique form factor.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Foldable display
  • Flex Mode
Cons
  • No telephoto lens
  • No wireless charging

nextpit[3]

Reviewers from nextpit have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has plenty of power thanks to the Snapdragon 855+ and under daily usage feels identical to use as the Galaxy S20. The camera quality is decent but not spectacular. For demanding games, you will be in better hands with the S20 and its 865 SoC. The Flip is never going to be appealing for mobile gamers anyway, not with that crease in the display.

Pros
  • Foldable design
  • Good battery life
  • Good cameras
Cons
  • No microSD card slot
  • Slow charging

notebookcheck[4]

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED display. In everyday life, it's usually bright enough outdoors to be able to read all the content on it. In summer, however, the viewfinder function might be of limited use. Dual audio is now hidden in the system and is activated when more than one speaker or pair of headphones are connected.

Pros
  • High-end SoC
  • Good battery life
  • Fast Wi-Fi
Cons
  • No aptX HD
  • No microSD card slot

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the first folding phone to really work. You can sit the phone in L-shaped or V-shaped mode, vertically or horizontally on a table. The most innovative thing about using the Z Flip as a camera is stability. The Z Flip has about the same performance as the $749 Galaxy S10.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Foldable form
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No 5G support
  • No wireless charging

techadvisor[6]

Reviewers from techadvisor have found the following***:
The Galaxy Z Flip is Samsung's first foldable phone. It has a 12Mp, f/1.8 lens with dual pixel autofocus and optical image stabilisation. There's no telephoto, no depth sensor, no time-of-flight, no nothin' You do at least get more software options though, with portrait, night mode, and even the Single Take mode seen on the S20 phones. The phone looks great, offers great performance and features, and is just plain cool.

Pros
  • Foldable design
  • Solid performance
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • No MicroSD support
  • No telephoto, no time-of-flight

techradar[7]

Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip cameras are perfectly fine – and at the same time we're left wanting after reviewing the far superior Galaxy Note 20 Ultra camera. There are two cameras on the outside of the Z Flip, and both capture 12MP photos. There's a small cutout in the display for 10MP selfies when you have the phone unfolded. The battery life is either subpar or good enough, depending on how you look at things.

Pros
  • Foldable design
  • Good battery life
  • Good cameras
Cons
  • Subpar camera
  • No wireless charging
  • No microSD card slot

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip folds and has a 30-micron-thick glass screen and a plastic layer on top of that. It costs $1,380 for a phone with a camera that's a little meh, especially for the price. But after using it for nearly a week, it felt pretty normal.

Pros
  • Decent performance
  • Good battery life
  • Decent cameras
Cons
  • No headphone jack
  • No wireless charging

The Galaxy Z Flip keeps up with any app I threw at it, even demanding games like PUBG Mobile. Multitasking on the Z Flip is simply a matter of swiping right from the side of the screen to bring up a tray of apps that support the feature. It didn't take long to realize Samsung had built the most polished foldable phone yet.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Big, colorful screen
  • Flex Mode lets you select apps on different parts of the screen
  • Fast charging
Cons
  • Lackluster cameras
  • No wireless charging

With no Exynos chip version of the Z Flip, all models are equipped with the Snapdragon 855 Plus. The Z Flip only has a 3,300mAh cell, so it needs all the help it can get. It can get four hours of screen on time and still have about 30% power left. The split view software works well, but it’s not as useful on a tall folding screen as it is on the tablet-sized Galaxy Fold.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Foldable form factor
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Slightly creaky display
  • No Bixby button
