Product Overview
Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is the bigger brother of the 1S announced at the same time: It comes with upgraded brushless DC motor that outputs 600W peak power and can climb 20% grade, reach a top speed of 25km/h, and enjoys a range of 45km. Weighing just 14.2 kg, it can be folded in 3 seconds with a folded height of just 49cm.
Drivetrain
Like the 1S, the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 has three speed modes for better control. When commuting to work, press S to go faster. When cruising around the park, press D, and in crowded areas, you can turn on the pedestrian mode to go slower. These modes can be easily switched by double-pressing the power button.
The updated kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) offers higher energy conversion efficiency. It can recover the kinetic energy of each braking and non-powered coasting, and convert it into usable electrical energy to further improve the cruising range. The efficiency of energy recovery can be adjusted through the Mi Home App.
Safety
The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 features both front and rear brakes, while the front wheel is equipped with an E-ABS regenerative anti-lock braking system. A new generation of 8.5" pneumatic tires are used for improved ride comfort and performance. It also features bright headlight and tail light.
Handling
The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 features improved central controls, including a multifunctional dashboard that displays a range of data, including speed, speed mode, power, and lock status. The hand throttle's moderate resistance and timely feedback make driving speed easier to control and the acceleration smoother. The handlebar is made of TPR material for a more comfortable grip which can effectively improve the driving experience.

Reviewer score 71%The Mi Scooter Pro 2 is an evolution of the original, which was – at the time I reviewed it – called the M365 Pro. The Pro suffix means it has a more powerful motor and bigger capacity battery than the Mi Electric Scooter. It does weigh more, which is inevitable, and at over 14kg it's as heavy as a light electric bike. Build quality is great, and the Bluetooth connection with the Mi Home app works reliably.
