Xiaomi Redmi 9 is an entry-level smartphone with up to a quad-camera setup. Thanks to its 6.53" FHD+ Dot Drop display, the Redmi 9 offers a crystal-clear visual experience. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification as well as Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 protection.
The Redmi 9 sports an optimized MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, delivering a 107% improved performance over its predecessor. Paired with a 5020mAh large capacity battery, Redmi 9 packs the power you need for everyday work and play.
On the back, the Redmi 9 features a chic gradient color design with an anti-fingerprint ripple texture. The rear fingerprint sensor is specially designed to sit beside the camera and surrounded by a trendy circle design. This makes the Redmi 9 even more comfortable to hold and unlock.
The Redmi 9 also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, and multifunctional NFC, while supporting dual SIM usage and an additional microSD card slot. It will be available in three color variants: Carbon Grey, Ocean Green, and Sunset Purple.
It is part of Xiaomi's 2020 Redmi 9-series.

The Mali-G52 is a Bifrost-based GPU from ARM. It supports such APIs as OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.0. The surface temperatures of the Redmi 9 reach 45 °C (113 °F) under continuous load. However, the temperatures should be much more reasonable in day-to-day use.

Reviewer score 52% (normalized by Neofiliac)In daylight the camera works well as a point and shoot, with particular credit given to the AI mode. We found Redmi 9 inconsistent, with saturated yellows, reds and purples, but elsewhere it could produce rather bleak images with flat colours. For the money we were mostly impressed by the level of detail in photos, although the ultra-wide lens has a fixed focus.
