Product Overview

Along with Galaxy Book Ion, Samsung Galaxy Book Flex features the world's first QLED display on a laptop. These outstanding panels deliver a maximum of 600-nit brightness and vivid, true-to-life viewing experience.
Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 13 & 15 retain the ultra-thin designs of the Galaxy Book Ion and add 2-in-1 flexibility. With the enhanced S Pen's new gesture controls, users can achieve higher productivity.
Galaxy Book Flex uses an aluminum body and similarly powerful components as the Galaxy Book Ion. Optional NVIDIA GeForce MX250 Graphics card is available on the Flex 15.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Galaxy Book Flex is everything you could want in a modern laptop. It's sleek, portable, and powerful — and beats some of the best laptops in key areas like display and battery life. The addition of the S Pen housed within the chassis is only the icing on the cake. Samsung offers a limited one-year warranty at the time of purchase.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 4K display
  • Excellent battery life
  • S Pen included
Cons
  • Display could be brighter

gizmodo[2]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from gizmodo have found:
The Galaxy Book Flex has a great, but simple design, a brilliant screen, and a handful of useful extras. Its Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM (or 12GB on the 15-inch model), and 512GB compares favorable against a similarly specced XPS 13. But you don't have the ability to upgrade to a 4K display, a larger SSD, or more RAM, or even downgrade to a Core i5 chip.
Pros
  • Slim, stylish design
  • S Pen stylus is a nice addition
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No 4K display

laptopmag[3]

Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 15 is my favorite 2-in-1 laptop so far. The dark blue hue of this stunning $1,399 convertible will turn heads. Samsung's decision to implement a half-sized Shift key to squeeze in an adjacent fingerprint scanner is beuddling. The top bezel of the Flex 15 features a tiny 720p webcam.
Pros
  • Super-bright QLED display
  • Gorgeous design
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No fingerprint scanner
  • No Thunderbolt 3

notebookcheck[4]

Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Samsung uses the Intel Core i5-1035G4 quad-core processor in the Galaxy Book Flex 13.3. It can process up to eight tasks simultaneously and offers clock rates between 1.1 and 3.7 GHz. The Galaxy Book's IPS panel has very stable viewing angles. Image content can be viewed from almost any angle without becoming distorted.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Good battery life
  • Good system performance
Cons
  • No SD card reader
  • No Thunderbolt 3

pcmag[5]

Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex is an excellent 2-in-1 convertible laptop. The stylus and wireless charging are unobtrusive enough that you can ignore them if you don't need them. Audio quality is remarkably good for such a small laptop. Samsung supports the Book Flex with a one-year warranty.
Pros
  • Attractive, lightweight design
  • Excellent performance
  • Solid battery life
  • S Pen holder
Cons
  • Lackluster keyboard and touchpad
  • Poor webcam quality

techadvisor[6]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
The Galaxy Book Flex is an ambitious step into the world of convertibles for Samsung, but it's done an excellent job. The 1080p OLED screen is just as excellent as you'd expect from a Samsung device, while the tiny bezels make it much more than most 13in laptops. There's even a decent webcam for working from home, although it doesn't support Windows Hello for face unlock. The Flex can't rival high-end laptops on internals, but for most people, this can be a great everyday laptop.
Pros
  • Excellent performance
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent display
Cons
  • No fingerprint scanner
  • No 3.5mm audio jack

techradar[7]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The 15.6-inch display is one of the most colorful and bright we've ever used. Sound quality still isn't quite on the level of a MacBook Pro, but it's good enough to watch some Netflix on your lunch break. Performance is top-notch, though the Nvidia GeForce MX250 found in the unit we reviewed here isn't available in the US.
Pros
  • Beautiful display
  • Fantastic battery life
Cons
  • No Nvidia GeForce MX250

Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex is one of the best 2-in-1 laptops I’ve tested. It has a lovely blue design, a stunning QLED screen, a fantastic battery life and a bundled stylus for doodling and sketching. It is an expensive device though, costing as much as £1349 with the 13-inch model available in the UK.
Pros
  • Gorgeous QLED screen
  • Excellent battery life
  • S-Pen included
Cons
  • Fingerprint sensor isn’t great
  • Poor webcam placement
