techradar[1]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
Cambridge Alva TT is a no-compromise turntable for £1500. Connected to a line-level input on a capable Naim streamer/amplifier, it exhibits all the audio strengths that's seen vinyl endure as a viable format. From the deep, controlled bass sounds to the crisply shining top end it presents recordings as a coherent and convincing whole.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Easy to set up and maintain
  • Wireless connection
Cons
  • No aptX HD support

trustedreviews[2]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
Everything that makes audiophiles rhapsodise about the music-making potency of vinyl is delivered by the Cambridge. With a heavyweight pressing of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ The Boatman’s Call spinning, the timbre and tonal variation in the piano sounds is made explicit. The Alva TT gives as naturalistic an impression of timing as any turntable at this sort of money. However, the wireless sound of the Cambridge is compromised somewhat compared to the wired equivalent.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Easy to set up and use
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • No out-and-out dynamic range
  • No aptX HD

whathifi[3]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
Cambridge Audio Alva TT is a direct drive turntable. It's unusual at this price point, but promises a number of improvements over belt-driven designs, including speed stability and accuracy. The Alva serves up a weighty helping of bass, but also plenty of texture and definition here, too - it's a grown up, mature sound.
Pros
  • Impressive sound
  • Easy to pair
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • No aptX or aptX HD support
