External Reviews
androidauthority[1]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huawei Watch GT 2e has 85 custom workout modes for tracking activities like parkour, skateboarding, yoga, and rock-climbing. The watch is water-resistant up to 5ATM so is sweat-proof and can handle the pool as well. It pairs to your phone via Huawei Health, a comprehensive but easy-to-navigate fitness companion you can install from Google Play Store or the Apple App Store if you're on an iPhone.
Pros
- Sleek, sporty design
- Two-week battery life
Cons
- No microphone or speaker
- No live watch face
nextpit[2]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Watch GT 2e weighs 43 grams without the strap, and you can certainly feel it once you get your arms swinging on a run. The 1.39-inch OLED touch display is sharp and bright, and offers a good resolution. There are 15 professional workout modes baked into the watch, including triathlons, pool swimming, and cycling.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Good battery life
- Good fitness tracking
Cons
- No 4G/LTE
- No GPS
t3[3]
Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)Huawei Watch GT 2e is an impressive wearable, especially for the price. Offering a sleek and modern design accompanied by general lifestyle features. With plenty of workout modes, there is literally nothing you can't track. The watch's 455mAh cell battery lasted for about a week. We can't get over the limited software support for third party apps.
Pros
- Sleek and modern design
- Accurate GPS tracking
- Great battery life
Cons
- Limited third-party apps
- No music playback
techadvisor[4]
Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huawei Watch GT 2e delivers on the majority of the promises it makes. As a workout companion, the watch proves pleasingly-reliable, with consistent pace, GPS and heart rate results across repeat workouts. Huawei Health offers a pleasing-deep amount of insight for those who enjoy the notion of 'the quantified self' Its lower price comes as a result of a weaker user experience, especially in terms of design.
Pros
- Good value for money
- Good battery life
Cons
- Mediocre performance
- Lack of smartwatch features
techradar[5]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huawei Watch GT 2e is a surprisingly solid fitness watch with plenty to offer fitness fans no matter what kind of activity they might be into. It uses Huawei's own LiteOS to run things on the software side, and it keeps the UI basic so it's easy to get to grips with. The watch may come with GPS, but there's no maps app for navigation and other missing features include NFC for contactless payments or third-party apps. What you do get is an impressively long battery life and solid fitness tracking in a comfortable sporty design.
Pros
- Long battery life
- Solid fitness tracking
- Easy to use
Cons
- No NFC
- No third-party app support
trustedreviews[6]
Reviewer score 58% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Huawei Watch GT 2e isn’t an Apple Watch, and it simply doesn't offer the same mix of smart and sports watch features as Apple and some of its rivals. Huawei has decided to increase the number of activities that can be tracked, covering more niche sports and activities. You’re getting the same sports modes as the GT 2 covering the likes of running, cycling, swimming (pool and open water) There are also some outdoor-centric options like hiking, and there’s still also a triathlon mode.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Lots of sports features
- Good battery life
Cons
- No heart rate monitor
- Fiddly fitness tracking
