The new Avalon offers a range of new features, including Adaptive Variable Suspension, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa connectivity, etc.

Reviewer score 73%The 2020 Toyota Avalon XSE Hybrid starts at $38,885, while the more luxurious Limited costs $44,585. The Avalon has plenty of interior room for front and rear passengers along with lots of cargo space in its good-ol'-fashioned big sedan trunk. The cabin materials are well thought out and of very high quality. The biggest issue with the interior of the Avalon is the noise.

This Toyota is powered by a hybrid drivetrain centered around a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Its 3.5-liter V6 puts out the same 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque as any other variant. All trims come standard with a 9-inch touchscreen that includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Reviewer score 50%The 2020 Toyota Avalon TRD is a good idea with poor execution. It's possible to make a big sedan into a performance car, just look at the BMW M5. The TRD upgrades make the Avalon better to drive (and to look at), but they don't transform it. If you want four doors, lots of space, and a little fun, other cars offer more for the money.
