External Reviews
cnet[1]
Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)The S Pen is as comfortable to hold as a regular pen. It's responsive, with little discernible lag in my experience. Paired with a small Bluetooth keyboard, the S6 Lite is fine for banging out emails. The top-notch Super AMOLED display and quad speaker system on the higher-end Tab S6 are better.
Pros
- Super AMOLED display with Dolby Atmos support
- S Pen is great for writing and drawing
- Good battery life
Cons
- No touchpad or mouse support
- No wireless charging
laptopmag[2]
Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is an excellent option if you want a basic tablet to browse the web. It can be sluggish at times, but again, it costs only $349. Samsung added its own flair to Android by using bubbly icons and including apps from Bixby to the Samsung Internet Browser.
Pros
- Excellent battery life
- Bright, colorful display
- S Pen included
Cons
- Lackluster performance
- No DeX mode
notebookcheck[3]
Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)The 10.4-inch TFT display has a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, which results in a pixel density of 225 PPI. The S-Pen can also be used to navigate the menus, which helps avoid fingerprints on the screen. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite also feels very good in the hands because it stays cool all the time, both while idling and under maximum load.
Pros
- High-quality case
- Good stereo sound
- Good battery life
Cons
- Slow SoC
- No Wi-Fi 6
pcmag[4]
Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)At $349.99, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is clearly positioned as the Android alternative to the base iPad. The main camera takes decent outdoor shots, although it had a little bit of trouble with the highlights of a white flower. The base model has 64GB of storage, with 52.2GB available, and a MicroSD card slot.
Pros
- High-resolution screen
- S Pen included
- Good battery life
- USB Type-C port
Cons
- No SD card slot
- No support for DeX
techadvisor[5]
Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs on Android 10 and Samsung's One UI 2.1 skin. The Android experience works mostly well, with all your Google features quick and responsive. Occasionally apps such as YouTube struggled to load when turned from portrait to landscape. The rear-camera comes with an 8Mp sensor and an f/1.9 aperture lens. For a tablet main camera, it's relatively modest but works well enough in bright daylight.
Pros
- Good value for money
- Good battery life
- Decent performance
Cons
- S Pen isn’t included
- No night mode adaptivity
techradar[6]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs Android 10 with Samsung's One UI laid over the top. There are few unique features to make the tablet experience distinct from a ‘big smartphone' one, as there are in iPadOS. The lack of an optional keyboard peripheral means that writing anything longer than a quick note requires you to use the on-screen keyboard.
Pros
- Long battery life
- S Pen stylus is fun to use
- Good cameras
Cons
- Slow charging
- No keyboard
tomsguide[7]
Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs Android 10, something we don't see from the Amazon Fire tablets. Its 5-megapixel front camera and 8- megapixel rear cameras proved capable as I snapped shots around the house. The tablet's Dolby Atmos-supporting speakers pump strong and sweet sound out.
Pros
- Bright, colorful display
- Strong performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- Mediocre cameras
- No biometric face identification
trustedreviews[8]
Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs Android 10 with Samsung’s One UI skin. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 9611 CPU and 4GB RAM. Twin dual speakers sit on the short sides of the tablet and have been tuned by AKG. They’re good enough for Netflix streaming, but nowhere near as detailed as the speakers seen on even the most basic iPad. Audio performance is good, but not iPad level.
Pros
- S Pen is great for note taking
- Good battery life
- Solid performance
Cons
- No 5G or Wi-Fi 6
- One UI isn’t as good as native Android
wired[9]
Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Tab S6 Lite is a great second screen to have in the house. It includes 64 gigabytes of storage, with the option to add more space via the MicroSD card slot. The drawing experience with the S Pen pales in comparison to the Apple Pencil on an iPad.
Pros
- Gorgeous second screen
- S Pen is great for sketching
- Long battery life
Cons
- S Pen isn't smart
- No fingerprint sensor
