LG Introduces 48-inch Screen Size to Its Popular CX-Series 4K OLED Smart TV for Optimal Video and Gaming Experience
LG Electronics brings its 4K OLED smart TVs a new member, the 48-inch CX (OLED48CXAUA). The 48CX is perfect for consumers whose space constraints make a mid-size TV more suitable as well as consumers who appreciate the visual difference that LG OLED TVs bring but would like a more affordable entry point.
Technical Advantages of the 48CX
Sporting the same ultra-sharp 4K picture (8 million pixels) on a more compact screen, the pixel density of the 48CX is comparable to that of a 96-inch 8K TV. Hence, the 48CX may be preferred for more intimate, critical viewing.
Like other models in the CX lineup, the 48CX is NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible. The variable frame rate feature allows for graphics to be rendered smoothly, with minimal jitter. OLED technology further employs precise control of individual pixels to produce exceptional picture quality. Combined with low input lag and ultra-fast response time, these features deliver an immersive gaming experience without flicker or stutter.
LG's CX series OLED TVs also support a broad range of popular HDR standards at up to 120 frames per second for 4H UHD, taking advantage of advanced HDMI specifications such as auto low latency mode (ALLM), enhanced audio return channel (eARC) and variable refresh rate (VRR). Among these HDR formats is HDR Gaming Interest Group's (HGiG) HDR gaming profile for the ultimate console gaming experience.
Last but not least, LG OLED 48CX also supports Dolby Atmos and LG's AI Acoustic Tuning for better sound immersion. The TV is also BT Surround ready, which means two Bluetooth speakers can be connected to produce 4.0 surround sound.
