Product Overview

Razer Huntsman V2 TKL is the tenkeyless variant of the Huntsman V2. Like the latter, it features Razer's 2nd-gen Optical Switches in either clicky or linear guise. Together with Razer HyperPolling Technology, these switches promise 8000Hz polling rate and 0.2ms response time.
The Huntsman V2 TKL also boasts a premium construction, highlighted by its matte aluminum top plate with doubleshot PBT keycaps. Razer has also endowed the Huntsman V2 TKL with a leatherette wrist rest and braided USB cables.
Like its predecessor, the TKL version loses the media keys and the multi-function dial found in its bigger brother. However, for pure gamers the tenkeyless format means that it is easier to place the mouse (for righties) and to carry the keyboard on tournaments.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 82%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
Razer's Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless is a simple but well-executed TKL keyboard for PC gamers. It isn't wireless, which isn't possible with optical switches (not without very limited battery life) It also doesn't have media keys, and I have a few issues with the included wrist rest. Despite those nitpicks, though, the excellent opto-mechanical switches and comfortable form factor will have you falling over heels for it.

Pros
  • Excellent opto-mechanical switches
  • Comfortable wrist rest
  • Very quiet
Cons
  • No media keys
  • No wrist rest

Reviewers from tomshardware have found the following***:
The updated Razer Huntsman V2 TKL is a high-quality mechanical keyboard with optical switches. With a spring weight of 45g, the Razer Purple switches are almost the same weight as MX Reds. For someone who has carpal tunnel, this felt very nice, but I still miss the magnetic wrist rest connection.

Pros
  • 8,000 Hz polling rate
  • Comfortable wrist rest
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No magnetic wrist rest connection
  • Lube-deprived stabilizers
