Product Overview

The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is the performance variant of the CT4 compact executive sedan unveiled in 2019. Powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces over 470hp, the CT4-V Blackwing is engineered for the race track.
Highlights of the CT4-V Blackwing over the base model include the upgraded TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission that comes standard, though a 10-speed automatic is available. Electronic limited slip rear differential, special suspension tuning, and chassis improvements further enhance the engaging driving dynamics.
These are topped by finishing touches such as the forged magnesium alloy wheels and carbon fiber bucket seats.
At the same time, Cadillac unveiled the larger, CT5-V Blackwing with a 6.2L supercharged V8.

Sentiment Score 65%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The CT4-V can easily plant a smile on its driver's face, but some of its interior elements might have the opposite effect. This car's cabin is nicely designed and laid out, but the details knock it down a few rungs. At 10.7 cubic feet, the trunk is likewise quite small, far less spacious than the 3 Series' 17-cubic-foot cargo hold.

Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Comfortable back seats
Cons
  • No adaptive cruise control
  • No head-up display

Cadillac says the aero kit produces the most downforce of anything the company has ever applied to a production car. The Blackwing carries a full technology suite, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
