Product Overview

Canon RF 70-200mm F4 L IS USM is the industry's smallest and lightest full-frame telephoto lens in the 70-200mm focal range, at 32% shorter and 11% lighter than its EF-mount counterpart.
The RF 70-200mm F4 L IS USM sports two independent Nano USM motors for faster, smoother, and quieter autofocus: the floating focus lens element also shortens the distance of travel during focusing, thus reducing focus breathing.
The RF 70-200mm F4 is a great complement to the RF24-105mm F4 L IS USM lens, providing great focal length coverage and similarly impressive picture quality.

RF 70-200mm f4L against the EF version with a distant subject and I’ve angled the camera so fine detail extends into the corners. Close the aperture a stop or two makes them pretty much identical in the corner. Arguably the RF lens is a fraction sharper, but I wouldn’t complain about the EF performance here.

The Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Lens was a game-changer. The EF lens is such an impressive performer that I expected the image quality comparison to be non-differentiating. With fewer lens elements (16 vs. 20), the RF F4 lens better avoids flare effects.
