Product Overview

SiteGround's shared hosting plans are popular with new bloggers and small business owners who are building their first websites. These plans come at three predefined levels: StartUp, GrowBig, and GoGeek, with increasing amount of storage space (defined), memory, and processing power (undefined) access.
While SG's landing page suggests that there may be differences between Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, and WooCommerce Hosting, there is virtually none. The only difference exists in the status of Wordpress that comes preinstalled (or not).
Like all shared hosting services, SiteGround offers one-click installs for major PHP-based Content Management Systems (CMS), including notably WordPress, Joomla, Magento, Drupal, and PrestaShop. However, as it is the case with other shared hosting services, the subscriber does not have root access and cannot make detailed configurations or install new modules. Another limitation as a result is that only LAMP sites (provided that the appropriate module is installed) and static sites may be hosted on SiteGround.
Despite these limitations, SG offers an easy, reliable solution for newcomers who have limited technical knowledge. Their pricing is competitive, and their uptime has been excellent.
