MSI Modern 14 B10R is a sleek mainstream laptop powered by 10th-gen Intel Core Comet Lake U-series processors. It packs unique contemporary and vivacious color combinations.
The Modern 14 carefully balances the subdued bluestone color and subtle tones without ostentatious luster, thanks to its sandblasted texture and subtle color palette.
Feature-wise, the Modern 14 B10R sports a FHD IPS display with close to 90% screen-to-body ratio. Its 52Wh battery provides up to 10 hours of on-the-go usage. The 2020 B10R model is also 19% smaller and 38% lighter than its predecessor.
Alongside the Intel-powered B10R, MSI also introduced the AMD-powered Modern 14 B4M.

Reviewer score 53%The Modern 14 uses the same Chi Mei N140HCE-EN2 1080p IPS panel as found on the Acer Swift 3 SF314 and the older MSI PS42. The display is about 43 percent dimmer than the pricier Prestige 14 which uses a 4K UHD from AU Optronics panel instead. The keyboard on the Modern 14 feels spongier, shallower, and less satisfying to type on.
