Product Overview

The 7th-generation Hyundai Elantra evolves the four-door-coupe look with "Parametric Dynamics" design. It is the first in the compact sedan segment to introduce wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also leads the segment in introducing the first Digital Key that allows owners to unlock, start, and drive with smartphone.
On the outside, the CN7 Elantra wears a bold fascia with jewel-like shapes, strong character lines, and high-tech-looking taillights. Inside, large displays are available for the infotainment system, and slim vents melt into the design smoothly.
The Elantra N Line, powered by the turbocharged variant of the 1.6L GDI engine, produces up to 201 hp and sends power to the front wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. Hyundai engineers implemented several mechanical improvements to Elantra’s suspension to increase stiffness for a gripping performance, aided by 18-inch alloy wheels, multi-link independent rear suspension and larger front brake rotors.
The 2021 Elantra will also have a hybrid variant with 50 estimated MPG.

A 1.6-liter I4 and 1.34-kWh battery combine to produce 139 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. Depending on trim, the Hybrid is anywhere from 240 to 340 pounds heavier than the standard Elantra. The Hybrid is a quiet commuter, with very little wind or road noise making its way into the cabin.

The Elantra N Line comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. You can get a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic for an extra $1,100. Once you are off and running, the 1.6-liter engine is a peach. The steering is light but accurate and the chassis strikes a great balance.

The Elantra is a daily driver and errand-runner, and it's tuned as such. The steering is light and somewhat vague, but the ride is really comfortable. It might not be the sportiest, but it's definitely one of the quietest and most tech-laden offerings in its class.
