Porsche Cayenne GTS & GTS Coupe Crossover SUVs (3rd gen, Typ PO536)

MSRP 116337 EURNEX score 80%

Product Overview

Porsche Cayenne GTS and GTS Coupe boast VAG's 4.0L bi-turbo V8 (also found in Turbo models) duned for 460 PS, propelling the 2.1-ton beasts to 100 km/h from a standing still in 4.5 seconds with the Sport Chrono package.
Compared to the standard Cayenne, the chassis is lowered by 20 mm, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) come as standard. The 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, large grey cast iron brakes, and red brake callipers offer a combination of sporting ability and aesthetics. Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) with tungsten carbide coating, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), air suspension, rear-axle steering, and Porsche Dyanmic Chassis Control (PDCC) are available, too.
Cayenne GTS comes stand with 2x2 sports exhaust system with two double tailpipes. The new sports exhaust system with two centrally located oval tailpipes are available.

autocar[1]

Sentiment Score 74%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
This is the Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupé (you don’t have to have the coupé; the regular SUV bodystyle is available as well) It’s designed to sit between the ‘regular’ line-up and the Turbo models. Here that means it gets a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre petrol V8 engine.

Pros
  • Lots of fun to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • No power steering
  • Pricier than rivals

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
If you're in the market for a non-electrified Cayenne, this is the one we'd go for. It has that great duality that you find in the best performance SUVs, being able to perform as a comfortable cruiser and, with the flick of a switch, an entertainer. Just watch yourself on the options list.

Pros
  • Fantastic V8 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of options
Cons
  • Not as fun to drive as a 911

cnet[3]

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The GTS' V8 produces 453 horsepower. Adaptive chassis tech keeps the Cayenne hunkered down and planted in tight corners. Creature comforts and onboard tech match what you get in other Cayennes. The back seat isn't as capacious as other sporty luxury SUVs.

Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Comfortable ride
  • Excellent infotainment tech
Cons
  • Lacks lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control
  • Lack of standard driver-assistance tech
