Product Overview

Audi Q3 Sportback (Typ F3) is a subcompact crossover in production from 2019. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.4 to 2.0 liters.
The hunchback version of the F3 Audi Q3, the Sportback is less practical and uglier. Still, some consumers got tricked into thinking that it is a good choice.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Audi Q3 Sportback uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Sportback is 29mm lower than the Q3 SUV, but 16mm longer, resulting in a slightly extended boot floor. The overall look isn't as clumsy as other coupe SUVs, but it's arguably not as distinctive as the X2. Legroom, like in the standard Q3, is above average for the class. A sliding rear bench allows for up to 130mm of movement if more storage space is required.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive

, and this entry-level engine feels strained and slightly sluggish. As before, we expect the forthcoming mild-hybrid petrol will be a better fit. The Sportback is 16mm longer than the Q3 on which it is based, meaning that roofline doesn't affect practicality quite as much as you might imagine. Audi says it'll do between around 45mpg on the new WLTP cycle.

Reviewers from carmagazine have found the following***:
The latest member of the Q3 range has a 49mm lower roofline than its sibling – that's sufficiently coupe-like in our book – as well as being 6mm narrower and 16mm longer. Material and build quality are hard to fault, while there's plenty of tactile delight, with squidgy slush-mouldings, glossy surfaces and even fillets of Alcantara to caress. There's barely a deficit in bootspace for opting for the more rakish Q3 either.

Pros
  • Roomier and more practical than the Q3
  • Sleek looks
Cons
  • Slightly less roomy than Q3
