Hong Kong – February 2nd, 2022 – Today, Fortune magazine published its annual list of the World’s Most Admired Companies, with Lenovo ranked at fifth, climbing from tenth position, for companies in the broad computing industry category. The annual ranking, which evaluates the corporate reputations of global organizations, looks at the 1,000 largest U.S. companies together with Fortune’s Global 500 companies that report annual revenues of US$10 billion or more. Within companies in the ‘computer industry’ sub-category, Lenovo was particularly recognized as “Most Admired” scoring well for the company’s innovation, quality of management, and global competitiveness.

Lenovo Earns Perfect Score for Fifth Consecutive Year in 2022 Corporate Equality Index
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – January 27, 2022 – Lenovo announced today that, for the fifth consecutive year, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation gave the company a perfect score of 100 on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). Qualification for the index is based upon a company’s adoption of LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination, workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. “I’m proud of our continued efforts to promote workplace inclusion at Lenovo, for the LGBTQ community and all diversity segments,” commented Calvin Crosslin, Lenovo’s Chief Diversity Officer.

Building off the Windows 11 momentum Panos shared last week, we want to take a moment and share a little bit on what’s coming for the Windows Insider Program in 2022. We have more people running preview builds of Windows 11 than we did Windows 10, and we are energized by all the feedback we’re seeing from Insiders and excited to use those insights to make Windows 11 even better for our customers. We will continue to document new features as they roll out in Insider builds through our flight blog posts but won’t document all the variations of features that we might be trying out in these builds.

Unminifying function names in DevTools performance profiles
Starting in Microsoft Edge version 99, you can use the new “Unminify profile” button in the Performance tool to download an unminified profile using your published sourcemaps. This usually means that function names get minified and renamed to just a few characters, which makes deciphering the calls stacks in a performance profile really challenging. So, to help decipher minified function names we are introducing a new feature in the Performance tool that can create unminified versions of performance profiles.

In collaboration with our friends in the Selenium project, the Microsoft Edge team is excited to announce that you can now test Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer Driver. With just a few changes to an existing test that runs against Internet Explorer, you can get your tests running in Internet Explorer (IE) mode in Edge. By running your tests in IE mode, you will be able to verify that any legacy web content that runs in Internet Explorer will work as expected in IE mode in Microsoft Edge.
