Debug memory leaks with the Microsoft Edge Detached Elements tool
Memory leaks occur when the JavaScript code of an application retains more and more objects in memory that it doesn’t need any longer instead of releasing them for the browser to garbage collect (GC). The Microsoft Edge team is very excited to announce the new Detached Elements tool in Microsoft Edge DevTools. Before you try this new tool on your own web content, it’s important to understand some of the nuances between detached elements and DOM leaks.

PANTONE Color of the Year for 2022 comes to Windows 11 wallpaper
The color — a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a violet-red undertone — will now start appearing in Windows 11, Teams, Microsoft Edge, PowerPoint and more, the Microsoft Design team said on Thursday. “Color is a part of every design decision we make here at Microsoft, and we wanted to incorporate this new color into our designs in a way that could inspire people to feel more empowered and creative in their daily endeavors,” the team said in a blog post. Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22518
Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22518 to the Dev Channel. This build has several new features for Windows Insiders to try out including Spotlight collection backgrounds, an updated entry point for Widgets with weather, and voice access. Upon enabling Spotlight collection, you will see an inspiring picture from Whitehaven Beach in Australia on your desktop as well as the Spotlight icon.

Redesigned Notepad for Windows 11 begins rolling out to Windows Insiders
