Sonos Announces Long-term Sustainability Commitment
Santa Barbara, Calif. – December 8, 2021 – Today Sonos (Nasdaq: SONO) introduced its first Climate Action Plan as the foundation of its commitment to a more sustainable future. “With our Climate Action Plan, we’re entering a new phase in our commitment to environmental responsibility, stepping up our efforts across the board to reduce our impact,” said Patrick Spence, Sonos CEO. Complementing a clear and measurable climate plan, Sonos also introduced a new approach to product sustainability, with an immediate goal of improving energy efficiency, given that more than three quarters of Sonos’ carbon emissions can be attributed to the energy consumed during each product’s lifecycle.

Sonos Accelerates Product and Organizational Development With Two Dynamic New Leaders
Shamayne Braman joins the company’s executive management team as its new Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer, and Rebecca Zavin joins as Senior Vice President, Software. “To build truly inclusive products, we must also build a diverse and inclusive culture, representative of the communities we participate in and the customers we serve. Based in Minnesota, Braman previously served as Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Target, where she was responsible for driving organizational strategies that advanced Target’s DEI priorities and goals across stores, global supply chain and headquarters.
