HP Pavilion Aero 13-be000 is an ultra-thin ultraportable 13.3-inch laptop. It is powered by AMD's new Ryzen 7 5800U CPU. As a new model, the Pavilion Aero 13 adopts the 16:10 aspect ratio, which is rapidly becoming the new prevailing choice.
The Pavilion Aero 13-be000 boasts a gorgeous WUXGA display with a high screen-to-body ratio. It uses magnesium-aluminum alloy in its cover, giving the device a premium feel rarely available at its price point.
While the Pavilion Aero 13 certainly is an attractive option, it is not much different than the standard Pavilion 13t-bb000: Apart from a more interesting display aspect ratio, it truly differs primarily in the appeal of its AMD processor.
Several other HP Pavilion laptops of this generation include the 14t-dv000, 15t-eg000, and 15z-eh100.
It must be noted that HP also sells many pre-configured models with slightly different model numbers, which is unnecessarily confusing but perhaps intentionally so.

Reviewer score 72%The Pavilion Aero 13 is equipped with a 43 watt-hour battery, which is a little small for a 13-inch laptop. There's no touch display option, and that's a bummer because I'm not too fond of non-touch displays. The all-metal chassis and 16:10 display aspect ratio are welcome additions.

Sequential read and write rates are mediocre for an NVMe SSD which is to be expected for a budget laptop. Graphics performance is slightly slower than the Iris Xe 96 EUs in most scenarios. Fan noise is quieter than many other 13-inch laptops even when running higher loads.

The ZenBook's OLED panel aced our display tests, but the Pavilion proved more than bright and colorful. Its last-place battery life is more concerning, but 12 hours of unplugged runtime is hardly bad.

The touchpad is 23 percent larger than the touchpads of previous Pavilions. The sound quality is not great, and the bass is particularly weak.
