Product Overview

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is a premium smartwatch with a minimalist design and enhanced feature set. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch4 now features higher-resolution displays in both sizes. While the display diagonals of these two sizes remain the same, the overall watches are physically smaller and lighter.
This generation of Galaxy smartwatches come in two distinct designs. The Watch4 Classic unveiled at the same time carries over the design and material choices of the Galaxy Watch3. The Galaxy Watch4, on the other hand, uses an aluminum case that is markedly lighter. It is also $100 cheaper.
The Galaxy Watch4 features a virtual rotating bezel that allows the user to toggle between widgets, open apps and scroll through notifications. It now has new sensors for more extensive health tracking, including blood pressure, blood oxygen level, and body composition measurements.
The Watch4 boasts up to 40 hours of battery life, which can be extended via fast charging. It is thoroughly water- and dust-proof and is available in multiple colors.

The Watch 4 starts at $250 while the Classic costs $350. As a health tracker, these watches are capable devices. As always, Samsung's auto workout-tracking for walking remains one of the best in the game. The Watch 4 is going to get you nearly all the same things for $100 less.

They have industry-leading processing, display technology, fitness and health tracking and deep integration with Galaxy phones. The Apple Watch has the health and fitness pedigree to rival the Galaxy Watch4 in almost every way. People that use Health regularly should definitely consider this watch.

Samsung has succeeded well in expanding the health features of the Galaxy Watch4. However, a weak battery life stands in the way of a carefree use of all smartwatch functions. Samsung describes the design of the Exynos W920 as energy-efficient and switches to an additional low-power processor in always-on mode.

Pros
  • Long battery life

The Watch 4 features Samsung's own Exynos W920 chipset and 1.5GB of RAM. We found this to be enough power to run a variety of apps smoothly without any slowdown. Samsung isn't using its own Tizen wearables software here, and is instead re-embracing Google's Wear OS, although with its own spin.

  • Great battery life

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4's readings did not match my Wyze Scale's. The measurements were as much as 5% off for metics like body fat perfect. As much as I’d like to call the battery life a let down, it’s a far cry from a dealbreaker.
