The Sony Bravia XR A80J is packed with features designed to enhance every aspect of your TV viewing. Most people won't need (or be able to take in) everything Sony offers. The dizzying number of complex settings, picture modes, and processing technologies may be too much for people who just want an amazing-looking and -sounding picture.

Reviewers from Whathifi have found the following[***]:
Step-down model in Sony's new OLED range certainly isn't quite as good as its flagship sibling. Sony's 2021 models differ from LG's by having a company logo stamped on the bottom lip, but it's so small and subtle as to be almost invisible. HDMI 2.1 sockets are as high-spec as can be, with a data rate of 48gbps. The A80J's Google TV-powered recommendation engine is significantly hampered by the fact that it brings in content only from Amazon.

Pros[**]
  • Super-thin and light
  • Excellent picture quality
  • Excellent Dolby Atmos and HDR10+ support
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular
