Product Overview

The 2021 Razer Blade 14 is the first Razer Blade to feature an AMD processor, in this case the 8-core Ryzen 9 5900HX. It further carries NVIDIA RTX 30-series graphics up to RTX 3080 with 8GB of graphics memory.
The new Blade 14 has a choice of FHD and QHD panels with high refresh rates and rich color gamut. The package also include USB 3.2 Gen2 ports in both Type-A and Type-C guises as well as a full-size HDMI. All come in a CNC aluminum chassis that measures under 2/3 of an inch thin.
Naturally, being a Razer Blade, the new Blade 14 comes with per-key Razer Chroma RGB backlight. It also supports Razer's THX Spatial Audio technology.
Last but not least, the 2021 Blade 14 features the latest WiFi 6E and Belutooth 5.2 wireless connectivity.

Reviewers from gizmodo have found the following***:
The Razer Blade 14 is a powerful but do-everything machine that's easy to lug around. Razer's gaming laptops have never really been what anyone would call affordable. With the Blade 14 starting at $1,800, you're paying an even bigger premium to put all those parts in a slightly more compact 14-inch chassis.

Pros
  • Sleek, compact design
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good performance
Cons
  • Battery life could be better

Reviewers from laptopmag have found the following***:
This might be a gaming laptop, but Razer's not playing around. The touchpad is big and my fingers glided easily over the smooth surface. Outside of Synapse 3.0, THX software and Windows 10 bloatware, the Razer Blade 15 is refreshingly free of app flotsam.

Pros
  • Thin and light
  • Powerful AMD processor
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Loud fans
  • No Thunderbolt 3

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 77%
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following***:
The Razer Blade 14 is able to offer almost 40 percent faster multi-thread performance than the Core i7-10875H all while consuming 20 percent less power in the process. Power consumption when gaming is higher than what we recorded on the 2021 Blade 15 by about 22 percent. Running Prime95 and FurMark simultaneously draws a maximum of 190 W from the medium-sized (~17 x 7 x 2.5 cm) 230 W AC adapter. Charging from empty to full capacity is fast at just over 1.5 hours.

Pros
  • Extremely thin and light for a 17.3-inch laptop
  • Strong performance for the price
  • Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
  • Very good battery life
Cons
  • Lack of Thunderbolt 3 support
  • No Thunderbolt 3

pcmag[4]

Reviewers from pcmag have found the following***:
For a system this compact, you'd be forgiven for assuming Nvidia's most powerful GPUs aren't available. The keyboard and especially touchpad are superior to those of your average Windows laptops. The screen looks bright, sharp, and vibrant, though we can't tell you how high this pre-production unit pushed the frame-rate ceiling.

Pros
  • High-refresh-rate 1080p screen
  • Excellent keyboard and touchpad
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

techradar[5]

Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
, there are just 10 Torx screws, and then you just need to pry off the bottom of the panel. All of this combines to make for a gaming laptop that's not just portable but extremely comfortable to use. The keyboard, while some parts have been shrunken down, is very comfortable with just the right amount of key travel and spacing. Razer has also knocked the trackpad out of the park, which is no big surprise.

Pros
  • Extremely portable
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • Not as powerful as Alienware m17

Reviewers from theverge have found the following***:
The Razer Blade 14 has per-key RGB lighting that you can customize in the Razer Synapse software that comes pre-installed. Battery life was acceptable, but not as tremendous as we've seen from some recent AMD systems. The whole chassis is CNC aluminum, and it's quite sturdy, though also a fingerprint magnet.

Pros
  • Great gaming performance
  • Solid build quality
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Poor webcam
  • Poor battery life

tomsguide[7]

Reviewers from tomsguide have found the following***:
The Razer Blade 14 is a well-designed machine that can run games at high settings. It doesn't have the brightest or most colorful display on the market, but it's on a par with some other popular models. While the Blade 14 offers only a paltry 1 hours and 27 minutes of battery life while gaming, it can go for 6:02 while web-surfing.

Pros
  • Lightweight, portable design
  • Good productivity performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3

tomshardware[8]

The Razer Blade 14 is an intriguing option for modern day gamers. With a 0.66-inch thick frame, and more casual, toned down look, it can also be a travel-ready productivity companion. There are more powerful gaming options, but the Blade 14 can edge them out with its attractively light build.

Pros
  • Thin, light design
  • Good gaming performance
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Dim display
