Rundown

digitaltrends[1]

Sentiment Score[*] 88%
Reviewers from Digitaltrends have found the following[***]:
LG's C-Series OLED TVs have been one of my top picks (if not the top pick) for our Best TVs list since the C6 was introduced about 5 years ago. Compared to the new G1 OLED, the C1 is now considerably less expensive since the G1 has gotten an upgraded, brighter panel, known as OLED evo. The C1 has always struck a sweet spot in LG's OLED lineup — that sweet spot just got a little sweeter.

Pros[**]
  • Fantastic OLED panel
  • Improved sound processing
  • Improved HDR performance
Cons[**]
  • Not as bright as last year's CX OLED

expertreviews[2]

Sentiment Score[*] 96%
Reviewers from Expertreviews have found the following[***]:
The LG C1 is a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) HDR smart TV and is the most affordable OLED from LG to feature the company's advanced Alpha 9 Gen 4 processor. You can buy the C1 in 48in, 55in, 65in and 77in screen sizes, and a massive 83in screen size is set to join the lineup later this year. The C1 runs the latest version of LG's webOS smart platform, and supports HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG – but not HDR10+.

Pros[**]
  • Fantastic 4K HDR performance
  • Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos
  • Excellent battery life
Cons[**]
  • Lacks Freeview Play

techradar[3]

Sentiment Score[*] 94%
Reviewers from Techradar have found the following[***]:
The LG C1 OLED builds on the wow factor of the CX series with upgrades beyond size. Its new a9 Gen 4 AI processor further optimizes picture quality and enhances audio upmixing with a virtual 5.1.2 surround sound. A Game Optimizer menu supporting variable refresh rates (VRR) is here, but HDR10+ and DTS:X aren't part of this television's specs.

Pros[**]
  • Excellent black level performance
  • Great HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support
  • Virtual 5.1.2 surround sound
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular

techradar[4]

Sentiment Score[*] 97%
Reviewers from Techradar have found the following[***]:
The LG C1 OLED is the follow up to TechRadar's best TV of 2020, the LG CX OLED. It's now using LG's Alpha a9 Gen. 4 processor for better upscaling and virtual surround sound. With four separate HDMI 2.1 ports, it's ready for the PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. As with the previous model, you'll find support for both Google Assistant and Amazon's Alexa.

Pros[**]
  • Beautiful OLED screen
  • Great upscaling and virtual surround sound
  • Good selection of streaming services
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular

whathifi[5]

Sentiment Score[*] 90%
Reviewers from Whathifi have found the following[***]:
LG's C-series model has been the go-to pick of its OLED range for several years. That's not the case in 2021. LG has introduced a new, brighter and sharper ‘OLED Evo' panel. The C1's design is identical to that of the CX and so is the selection and layout of its connections. After their year apart in 2020, LG and Freeview Play have reunited for 2021.
Find the original article here.
Pros[**]
  • Dolby Vision IQ improves dark detail
  • Great HDR10 and Dolby Atmos performance
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular
