Rundown

autocar[1]

Sentiment Score[*] 53%
Reviewers from Autocar have found the following[***]:
The Q2 has been under the knife for a nip and tuck. LED headlights are now standard across the range, with adaptive matrix technology standard on flagship Vorsprung trim and optional on others. All models other than entry-level Technik now have the slick 12.3in Virtual Cockpit instruments as standard. The driving experience remains very familiar, being capable and composed but not getting the blood running hot.

Pros[**]
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons[**]
  • Lack of subtlety in corners
  • Not for everyone

autocar[2]

Sentiment Score[*] 46%
Reviewers from Autocar have found the following[***]:
With 148bhp from four turbocharged cylinders, the Q2 feels usefully quicker and more responsive under acceleration than the 1.0-litre three-pot. At 8.6sec it is almost three seconds quicker in the 0-62mph sprint, and is noticeably smoother under load. Unfortunate, then, that the automatic transmission is so sluggish, shuffling cogs even under a light foot. It's symptomatic of many recent VW Group models, and detracts from what should be an enjoyable driving experience.

Pros[**]
  • More agile and more responsive than the Q5
  • Improved infotainment system
Cons[**]
  • Automatic transmission is sluggish
  • Not for everyone

autoexpress[3]

Sentiment Score[*] 54%
Reviewers from Autoexpress have found the following[***]:
The Audi Q2 fills another niche within Audi's crossover and SUV line-up. It uses the same platform as the Audi A3 hatchback, so really it comes close to the Q3 in terms of size. You can only get 4WD with the most powerful engines, as the rest of the range is front-wheel drive. It's good to drive, with responsive controls and sure-footed handling combining with a comfy ride.

Pros[**]
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of personalisation options
  • Comfortable ride
Cons[**]
  • Pricier than rivals
  • Poor infotainment

autoexpress[4]

Sentiment Score[*] 55%
Reviewers from Autoexpress have found the following[***]:
The Audi Q2 has received a nip and tuck for 2020. The brand's answer to the BMW X2 and Mercedes GLA introduces improved tech, tweaked styling and what Audi hopes is a more tempting price tag. Last year the Q2 was Audi's most popular SUV in the UK, and its third-biggest seller overall – after the A1 and A3.

Pros[**]
  • Sleek, modern styling
  • Improved standard equipment
  • Improved infotainment
Cons[**]
  • Lacklustre petrol engine
  • Lack of driver-assistance tech

carmagazine[5]

Sentiment Score[*] 68%
Reviewers from Carmagazine have found the following[***]:
The Q2 is Audi's best-selling SUV in the UK, and third best- selling model overall. Four years on, what isn't broken hasn't been fixed, and the Q2's mid-life facelift is pretty incremental. There's sharper styling and some tech borrowed from the rest of the Audi range. New WLTP-friendly trim packs make for a simpler albeit less bespoke ordering process.

Pros[**]
  • Solid infotainment tech
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular
