Reviewers from ndtv have found the following[***]:
Close-up shots were excellent, with minute details reproduced very well and a very pleasant natural depth of field. The 3X optical telephoto camera also captures excellent detail, and shots hold up even when seen fully magnified on a large monitor. Low-light video shot with the primary camera was good enough, but quality suffered with the telephoto and wide-angle cameras.

Pros[**]
  • Good battery life
  • Good camera performance
  • Good value for money
Cons[**]
  • No microSD card slot
  • No headphone jack

Sentiment Score[*] 93%
Reviewers from gizmodo have found the following[***]:
The S20 FE has a 4,500 mAh battery that's just as big as what you get in the S20+ and Note 20 Ultra. It gets the same Snapdragon 865 chip used in its more expensive siblings, along with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of base storage, and a microSD card slot. The only con is its in-screen optical fingerprint reader.

Pros[**]
  • Gorgeous, colorful screen
  • Great performance
  • Great battery life
Cons[**]
  • In-screen fingerprint reader isn’t as good as Google’s
  • No wireless charging

Sentiment Score[*] 79%
Reviewers from androidauthority have found the following[***]:
The Galaxy S20 FE puts every premium mid-ranger OnePlus has released this year to shame when it comes to overall value. The biggest issue with the phone is the camera. Under ideal conditions, the camera is fine, but as soon as you throw a challenge at it, it crumbles. The display isn't up-to-snuff, either.

Pros[**]
  • Fantastic performance
  • Great battery life
  • Great camera
Cons[**]
  • One UI is bloated
  • One UI still needs work

digitaltrends[4]

Sentiment Score[*] 80%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following[***]:
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE puts the flagship phone experience in a $700 phone. With a premium processor, still awesome display, premium feel, and great camera system, you can't do much better in the price range. The OnePlus 8 is the main competitor here, but it doesn't quite have the same camera quality. It could also be a toss-up between the Google Pixel 5 or OnePlus 8 as the primary competitor.

Pros[**]
  • Gorgeous display
  • Great camera
  • Great battery life
Cons[**]
  • No IP68 water resistance
  • No wireless charging

laptopmag[5]

Sentiment Score[*] 88%
Reviewers from laptopmag have found the following[***]:
Samsung's software-produced bokeh does a pretty good job for portraits and close up photos. The Galaxy S20 FE can't capture the 8K video that some of its siblings can. Support for wireless DeX on TVs with Miracast makes this feature much more accessible.

Pros[**]
  • Bright 120Hz display
  • Good battery life
  • Good camera performance
Cons[**]
  • No 120Hz refresh rate
  • No headphone jack

notebookcheck[6]

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following[***]:
Samsung provides the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with a brilliant Super AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels (FHD+) and delivers a very smooth display. With evenly distributed bright and dark image areas (APL50) even up to 957cd/m² are possible.

  • Bright and accurate AMOLED display
  • Fast Wi-Fi
  • Good battery life
  • Fast SoC
Cons[**]

  • Slow SoC

pcmag[7]

Sentiment Score[*] 92%
Reviewers from pcmag have found the following[***]:
The S20 FE can take full advantage of AT&T's 4G network while technically attached to 5G. There is no headphone jack; you need to use USB-C or Bluetooth headphones. The FE doesn't have quite the low-light zoom performance of the S20+ and Note 20 Ultra.

Pros[**]
  • Solid performance
  • Solid battery life
  • Good cameras
Cons[**]
  • No 5G
  • No headphone jack

techadvisor[8]

Sentiment Score[*] 83%
Reviewers from techadvisor have found the following[***]:
The Galaxy S20 FE comes in at £599 for the 4G variant and £699/$699 for the 5G/Snapdragon 865 combo. On the front, you'll find a 32Mp snapper that performs much like the selfie camera of the iPhone 11. The telephoto lens also offers up to 30x digital zoom, but images taken at that level are barely usable. Samsung committed to three years of Android upgrades, potentially providing access to Android 12 and 13 on the 20 FE.
Find the original article here.
Pros[**]
  • Super-smooth 120Hz AMOLED display
  • Good battery life
Cons[**]
  • No US pricing

techradar[9]

Sentiment Score[*] 87%
Reviewers from techradar have found the following[***]:
The 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The 4G version uses Samsung's own Exynos 990. The phone's 4,500mAh battery is fairly average for a smartphone, and we found it lasted roughly a full day. Features like the 120Hz display, 5G connectivity and always-on display can dramatically reduce how long the phone lasts between charges.

Pros[**]
  • 120Hz display
  • Good battery life
  • Good cameras
Cons[**]
  • No wireless charging
  • No IP rating

tomsguide[10]

Sentiment Score[*] 83%
Reviewers from tomsguide have found the following[***]:
The Galaxy S20 FE packs a Snapdragon 865 processor and 6GB of RAM. It's equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery, which is bigger than the 4,000 mAh pack in the S20 Plus. Samsung is reportedly working on a Galaxy S21 FE model with a faster processor.
Find the original article here.
Pros[**]
  • Bright 120Hz display
  • Fast 120Hz refresh rate
  • Long battery life
Cons[**]
  • Bulky plastic back
  • No wireless charging

trustedreviews[11]

Sentiment Score[*] 86%
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found the following[***]:
, if you do go for the cheaper 4G version then you will get the Samsung Exynos 990. This variation won’t be available in the States. Paired with that chipset you’ve got 6GB of fast RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. The Snapdragon 865 performs better in benchmark tests but the real wins come with the improved battery life. Audio from the speakers is good, if slightly easily blocked for the bottom speaker, and call quality is typical Samsung standard.

Pros[**]
  • Great cameras
  • Good battery life
Cons[**]
  • No 5G
  • No wireless charging
