Reviewer score 85%Each earcup houses dynamic 32mm drivers delivering a frequency range of 17Hz to 23kHz. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 8, we could understand every word we recorded. There's an excellent balance here between the lows and highs, but the sound signature is definitely more sculpted than flat.

Pros
- Excellent audio performance
- Excellent noise cancellation
- Good battery life
Cons
- Slightly sculpted sound signature

Reviewer score 45%The Sennheiser PXC 550-II are good over-ear headphones for sports use. They're comfortable and feel quite stable on the head, meaning they likely won't move or fall off during jogs or light work-outs. Their ANC performance is also great and does an effective job of blocking out the engine noise on a plane or bus. While their bass and mid ranges are excellently well-balanced, unfortunately, their treble isn't.

Pros
- Well-padded design
- Comfortable and stable on the head
- Very good battery life
- Great noise isolation performance
Cons
- Very poor soundstage reproduction
- Poor treble reproduction

Reviewer score 80%Sennheiser PXC 550-IIs have a 32mm full-range driver in the left earcup. Can be used in conjunction with Smart Control app. for phone calls, voice control and active noise-cancelation. The presentation is broad, well defined and reasonably three-dimensional. No nuance is too subtle or fleeting to escape the Senheisers' attention – and it's integrated into the overall sonic picture.

Pros
- Impressive noise-cancelling
- Decent build quality
- Smart Control app
Cons
- Not for everyone

Reviewer score 68%The Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless sound clean and clear. Bass is deep and assured, but doesn’t display the weight of the flagship Momentum pair. The battery on these headphones lasts for up to 20 hours used wirelessly, or 30 hours when you plug in the cable. Charging is fairly slow, however.

Pros
- Powerful bass and rich mid-range
- Good noise cancellation
- Good battery life
Cons
- Lack of bass and low-mid weight
