Summary

Audi Q3 was one of the first posh small crossovers, designed to offer the premium appeal of the larger Q5 and Q7 in a smaller package. From the front it looks similar to the standard car, but from the A-pillar back things are decidedly different. The sloping roofline and rakish rear are key to this, as is the reprofiled shoulder line, which drops away over the rear wheels.

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following[***]:
From behind the wheel, the Q3 is above average for the class in almost every area. It's not quite as fun to drive as a BMW X1 – the steering feels too numb for that – but keen turn-in, strong grip and decent adjustability means that it's not bad at all. Ride comfort was a concern on previous Q3, but here the second-generation model takes a leap forward.

Pros[**]
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Excellent infotainment tech
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons[**]
  • Not as fun to drive as a BMW X1

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following[***]:
The Q3 Sportback will come with a choice of one petrol and two diesel engines. The mild-hybrid petrol might just be the pick of the range. The overall look isn't as clumsy as other coupe SUVs, but it's arguably not as distinctive as the BMW X2. The largely positive driving experience is let down by the disappointing automatic gearbox.

Pros[**]
  • Smooth, linear performance
  • Decent infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following[***]:
Many buyers will find the Audi Q3 Sportback's extra dose of style hard to resist, but it's impossible to ignore this model's shortcomings. The boot is a good size, true, and average-sized adults will be fine inside. But it's expensive, the ride is firm, and this entry-level engine feels strained and slightly sluggish. We expect the forthcoming mild-hybrid petrol will be a better fit.

Pros[**]
  • Sleek styling
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons[**]
  • Pricier than alternatives
  • Slightly sluggish engine

Sentiment Score[*] 75%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following[***]:
2.5-litre, turbocharged five-cylinder is without doubt what will draw buyers in. Power ramps up to 395bhp, sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Top speed is limited to 155mph - upped to 174mph on request - while it's still not wildly uneconomical.

Pros[**]
  • Powerful turbocharged five-cylinder
  • Lots of fun to drive
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular

Reviewers from cnet have found the following[***]:
The 2019 Audi Q3 feels sharp, fresh and ready to once again lead a segment it helped pioneer. It's much bigger than it used to be, coming in 3.8 inches longer, 0.7 inch wider and 1.5 inches taller. The Q3's interior looks represent just as much of a leap forward as the exterior.

Pros[**]
  • Gorgeous interior design
  • Fantastic infotainment tech
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular

Reviewers from cnet have found the following[***]:
The second-generation Audi Q3 is a bit larger and more mature. It has a new octagonal, single-frame grille and slick LED running lights up front. The Q3 has all the grip you'll ever need for street driving on its 19-inch Goodyear Eagle Sport tires.

Pros[**]
  • Bigger, better-looking than its predecessor
  • Comfortable, comfortable ride
  • Powerful I4 engine
Cons[**]
  • Nothing in particular
