Product Overview

Cadillac XT6 is a large crossover in production from 2019. It is available with a single V6 engine that displaced 3.6 liters, though an inline-4 is equipped for the Chinese market (with the mandated markup of course).
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Cadillac XT6 is hardly the "offroader" that Cadillac would like you to think. Utility-minded owners will love the 2228L (79cu-ft) cargo space.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Cadillac XT6 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

The XT6 sits between the vast, separate-chassis Escalade and the smaller XT5, making its closest equivalents over here the Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90. It’s powered by a 306bhp 3.6-litre petrol V6 coupled to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. This Sport version comes with four-wheel drive, shift paddles, a quicker steering ratio, 21in alloy wheels, adaptive dampers for its five-link rear and MacPherson strut front suspension.

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 ushers in a new and improved generation of dashboard tech based on GM's Infotainment 3 suite. The XT6's V6 is smooth at the low- to midrange, if a bit wheezy at the top end. Even with the Sport upgrades, the XT6 is a very comfort-oriented SUV.

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 uses the brand's new "Y" trim level strategy. The Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels each make up one leg of that “Y” The Sport model's enhancements just seem out of place. While it is possible to make a big, three-row crossover handle well, that simply isn't the case here.
