Yamaha RX-V6A is a 7.2-channel AV receiver that wears a new, simple design language. It features seven digital inputs, including three that support 8K input (HDMI 2.1), as well as audio streaming thanks to full support of MusicCast
It features WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, built-in music streaming services, multi-room audio, and voice control via Alexa, Google and Siri-enabled devices. The RX-V6A further supports MusicCast Surround, which allows optional MusicCast speakers to be paired and used as surrounds in a 5.1-ch. setup wirelessly.
Sharing the same design are two new AV Receivers: the 5.2-channel RX-V4A that debuted with the RX-V6A, and the higher-end AVENTAGE RX-A2A.

Reviewer score 71%The Yamaha RX-V6A includes seven HDMI inputs, three of which are 8K-compatible HDMI 2.1 ports. Yamaha's MusicCast multiroom system is one of the best integrated systems. The receiver offers AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth too, although it lacks Chromecast built-in.
